Shazam Fury of the Gods director David F. Sandberg has responded to the major DC Cameo revealed in the television spot released on Friday, a week before the film opens theatrically.

In case you didn’t know, Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman, made an appearance in the latest television spot. “Stick to saving the world kid,” Diana tells Shazam in the spot.

“Well there’s some big Shazam spoilers out there now,” Sandberg said on Twitter. “If you want to go in fresh maybe don’t be online or watch tv with ads… Pretty good advice in general actually.”

A Twitter user added that the reveal made him want to see the film, “Caught me off guard but not gonna lie, it makes me want to go see it now.”

“Then I guess it’s working at least,” Sandberg added.

On one hand Sandberg is pleased it will make people see the movie, however he added that the situation doesn’t seem ideal if people were going to see it regardless.

“I’m happy if it convinces people to see the movie. But it’s of course less ideal for people who were going to see it anyway if they happen to see spoilers,” Sandberg said.

While the DC Universe is expected to reboot certain elements of the SnyderVerse saga, James Gunn and Peter Safran have revealed that Gal Gadot could return to the role of Wonder Woman at some point in the future. According to the two executives, Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck are so far the only Justice League actors from the Snyder-Verse era who are no longer members of the DC Universe.

“We’ve talked to Gal. She’s up for doing stuff,” Gunn said during the DC Studios press event. “We’re not sure what we’re going to do with that. All I can tell you really right now really is just Henry [Cavill] and Ben [Affleck] are not a part of this universe.”

Shazam! Fury of the GodsThe FlashBlue Beetle and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom are currently in various stages of post-production at Warner Bros. Discovery, with all four DC Universe movies slated to hit theaters in 2023. Will the characters from those movies make appearances in the new DCU? Only Gunn and Safran know.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set to be released in theaters on March 17.
