Shazam! Fury of the Gods Poster Teases Daughters Of Atlas & Their Dragon

A Chinese poster for the upcoming DC Comics movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods has surfaced online, showing off the members of the Shazam Family alongside the villainous Daughters of Atlas and their dragon. The superhero sequel promises to deliver even more action, humor, and heart, as the Shazam Family takes on a new set of challenges. You can check out the poster below.

Directed by David F. Sandberg , Shazam! Fury of the Gods is the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2019 Shazam! adaptation, which introduced audiences to the world of Billy Batson and the Shazam Family. The first film was a critical and commercial success, earning over $364 million at the box office and garnering positive reviews from both fans and critics.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods has secured a day-and-date release date in China, with the movie set to premiere on March 17th, the same day as its North American theatrical debut. This is a positive sign for the film’s global release, as China has become an increasingly important market for Hollywood blockbusters in recent years.

David F. Sandberg recently announced that Shazam! Fury of the Gods has already been completed ahead of its March release. The synopsis reads as follows: “Bestowed with the powers of the gods, Billy Batson and his fellow foster kids are still learning how to juggle teenage life with having adult Super Hero alter-egos. But when the Daughters of Atlas, a vengeful trio of ancient gods, arrive on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago, Billy—aka Shazam—and his family are thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of their world.”

In addition to Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Flash, Blue Beetle and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom are also currently in various stages of post-production at Warner Bros. Discovery, with all four DC Universe movies set to hit theaters this year. Will the characters from those movies make appearances in the new DC Universe? Only newly-named DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran Safran know.

David F. Sandberg directed Shazam! Fury of the Gods from a script written by Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan, Shazam! Fury of the Gods. The film stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, Meagan Good, D.J. Cotrona, Grace Caroline Currey, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Marta Millans, Cooper Andrews, Djimon Hounsou, Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren.
