[ad_1]

Steven Yeun is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the actor has joined the cast of Thunderbolts.

Actor Steven Yeun, who rose to fame with his role as Glenn Rhee on the AMC series The Walking Dead, has boarded the upcoming Marvel Studios movie Thunderbolts, as reported by Deadline. The identity of Yeun’s Thunderbolts character is being kept under wraps, but the actor is said to be playing someone who could have a major future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fans are speculating that Steven Yeun could be playing The Sentry in Thunderbolts. The Sentry is a superhero with incredible strength and the power of flight, but he also has a dark side and struggles with mental health issues. In the comics, the character has been both a hero and a villain, and his complex backstory could make for a compelling addition to the MCU.

Who is attached to the Thunderbolts movie?

Thunderbolts was announced during Marvel’s San Diego Comic-Con presentation this past July. Robot & Frank and Paper Towns helmer Jake Schreier is directing the project from a script by Black Widow scribe Eric Pearson.

The Thunderbolts cast also includes Julia Louis-Dreyfuss as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Hannah John-Kamen as the Ghost, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes. The project recently cast Harrison Ford as Thunderbolt Ross, replacing the late William Hurt.

Thunderbolts is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 26, 2024. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the upcoming project and the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
