Vanderpump Rules’ Kristen Doute Shares Shocking Reason She “Fought” With Jax Taylor Amid Scheana’s Wedding

Kristen Doute and Jax Taylor feuded throughout Scheana Shay and Brock Davies’ wedding week in Mexico after being “emotionally [triggered]” by Vanderpump Rules cameras.

While looking back on the trip on a recent episode of her newly-launched podcast with co-host/boyfriend Luke Broderick, who was also present in Mexico, Kristen accused Jax of taking his emotions out on her after being unprepared for how he’d react to production.

“Jax and I fought the entire weekend in Mexico. We fought the entire time because he took it all out on me. This is how I feel, and Jax knows this,” Kristen said on the December 21 episode of Sex, Love and What Else Matters, via Us Weekly. “And I feel that he just took it out on everyone that it was going to be emotionally triggering, and it was going to be uncomfortable.”

Although Kristen admitted that she was emotionally triggered by the Pump Rules cameras in Mexico, agreeing with Luke that the production team made things “uncomfortable” for them, she felt she handled the situation much better than her former co-star.

“I’m willing to say that it was emotionally triggering for me, but I think that was something Jax wasn’t ready for. And therefore, he took everything out on me,” she explained.

Luckily, despite their Mexico battles, Kristen and Jax are currently in a good place with one another after he reached out to apologize.

“Hats off to Jax, [he] apologized to me after Mexico just saying like, you know, he wasn’t really prepared to sort of be around that [the show] again — when we’re not in it. And I think that that’s like super f-cking mature of him,” Kristen revealed. “It was weird. It was hard.”

In addition to being in a good place with Jax, Kristen has remained super close to Jax’s wife, Brittany Cartwright. In fact, Kristen is one of just non-family members who’ve babysat Jax and Brittany’s one-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi.

“Maybe like a month ago, I got to watch Cruz,” Kristen recalled on the December 14 episode of Give Them Lala. “[But] he literally locked himself in his [play pen] with his iPad and never came out. It has all of his toys in it. I’m like, begging Cruz to be my friend, begging him to play with me, and he’s as interested as a dead fly.”

Vanderpump Rules season 10 is expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime in early 2023.
