F1 LIVE: Verstappen quickest as Lewis Hamilton caught spying

Sergio Perez could be axed at Red Bull if he doesn’t continue to help Max Verstappen despite the pair clashing last season, according to Jolyon Palmer. 

Verstappen ignored Red Bull orders to let Perez through in Brazil last season which soured relations between the two stars. 

However, Palmer warns Red Bull could replace the Mexican if he fails to fall in behind the team’s requests. 

He said: “So he really did a huge job in those crucial moments so the logic now would say maybe he wouldn’t if he feels the favour has not been returned.

“But he has to, to stay in favour with Red Bull. He’s got no [choice]. If he doesn’t do that they will hoick him out for someone who will be a bit more compliant.”
