Farrah Abraham Slams Fans Who Called Her Out For Allowing 14-Year-Old Daughter’s Six New Facial Piercings! – Perez Hilton

Farrah Abraham doesn’t want to hear it!!

The Teen Mom alum has been catching a lot of criticism this week after she posted a surprising new video to several of her social media channels. In the clip, the 31-year-old star showed off her 14-year-old daughter Sophia getting six (!) new facial piercings as part of her birthday celebration. But fans didn’t like what they saw! And they weren’t shy about sharing!!

As we noted, fans called out Farrah across pretty much the entire Instagram comments section. They scolded her for letting Sophia get what they felt were such radical and non-traditional piercings. But some had supportive things to say to Farrah. And the My Teenage Dream Ended author opted to clap back HARD with a response, too!

Late on Thursday night, the MTV alum spoke to InTouch Weekly about the backlash to her piercing move with Sophia. Stunned at the fans who criticized her for letting the girl express herself via body jewelry, Farrah told the outlet:

“I won’t be shaming my daughter, I LOVE and support Sophia 100 percent on who and what she wants to become. The mom shamers should recognize what some kids will grow out of and what they [will not]. That’s part of a teen journey as I don’t have my belly button piercing anymore.”

Whoa!

And she wasn’t done there. The reality TV veteran also alluded to her own challenging teenage years — which many viewers watched play out on MTV more than a decade ago. Referencing that and throwing her support behind Sophia, her proud and defensive momma added:

“I love having a teenager … I have all the compassion for her as I wish I had as a teen.”

Awww! That part is actually really sweet! And the rest is, too, in a way. Farrah is defending her parenting and keeping her daughter from catching heat via online critics. Can’t hate that! The internet can be a nasty place!

Speaking of the ‘net being nasty, Farrah cross-posted that aforementioned video honoring Sophia’s 14th birthday piercings by sharing the clip on TikTok, too. It’s the same series of shots as the IG post we’ve already covered, as you can see (below):

But it’s the TikTok comments that really caught our attention!! Just like on Insta, fans and followers weighed in on the reveal. But they were mostly VERY supportive over on TikTok!

Ch-ch-check out a few of the comments (below):

“I do love that she’s given the freedom to be authentically herself, free from judgement and conforming.”

“I don’t understand why people care so much about the age and piercings. Better to have them professionally done than to not allow it”

“14 already?! Wow!! I love that you let her express herself!”

“I love this!! My mom took me to get my first major piercing, a vertical labret or ‘angel kiss,’ five days before I turned 14. It was a 14th bday gift!!”

“So glad you take her to a professional. The amount of parents telling kids no and the kids do it at their friends house. Will be doing same”

“Good job taking her to get them in a clean professional environment!!! so she doesn’t sneak out and do them in someone’s garage like I did”

Love that support!

Of course, this isn’t the first time Sophia and Farrah have caught flak (and love) from fans for piercing problems. A year ago — for Sophia’s 13th birthday — Farrah took her to get a septum piercing.

After followers ripped her for it that time around, Farrah spoke to TMZ about her decision to take her daughter to get a piercing. Reasoning that it was better for the girl to do it in a safe and sanitary environment, Abraham said at the time:

“I think her generation of 13 is much different than my generation of 13. Sophia is the first … in my family to get a septum piercing, especially at 13 … I would rather it be by a professional, sanitized and clean, than my teen going, sneaking off and doing it herself and getting an infection. To those who might feel it is inappropriate that my daughter got her nose professionally done, legally done, I’m all about being legal. We abided by the law. I am doing my best as a parent to make sure that she is healthy and happy, and I covered those bases. So congratulations to Sophia. I’m wishing her the best in her teen years, and if she wants to get more piercings, more power to her.”

And from then to now, it sounds like the vibe is the same this year, too!

Reactions, Perezcious readers??
