Liverpool know what they must do to beat Man Utd to Jude Bellingham

[ad_1]

Borussia Dortmund will reportedly accept £83million for midfielder Jude Bellingham if they receive the whole transfer fee up front. And that means Liverpool now know exactly what they must do to beat Manchester United to the player’s signature.

Bellingham has become one of the best young players in European football since moving to Dortmund from Birmingham in a £30m deal two years ago. The 19-year-old was starring for the west Midlands club in the Championship at the age of 16 and has since gone on to illustrate his prodigious talents in the Bundesliga and Champions League.

Dortmund were thought to be after £130m to sanction a move for the teenage sensation, with a whole host of clubs desperate to get their hands on him. But, according to The Sun, a lump sum of £83m in one hit will be enough. So Liverpool must put their blinkers on and make the deal happen.

Bellingham will have two years remaining on his current contract by the time of next summer’s transfer window. But after three seasons in Germany, the talented ace may feel the time is right to return to England.

Bellingham has bagged 13 goals and 18 assists in 100 games for Dortmund, with 18 of those appearances coming in the Champions League. He also looks set to play a starring role for England at this winter’s Qatar World Cup, having impressed against Italy in the Nations League on Friday night as he was handed his 16th cap.

United will be keen to scupper Liverpool’s attempts to sign Bellingham, however, after showing their financial power this summer when they shelled out around £214m to sign Antony, Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia. And Manchester City and Chelsea are also interested in the youngster. With Real Madrid and Barcelona also unlikely to turn down a move for the player should the opportunity arise, Liverpool will need to act quickly next summer to get a deal over the line.
