Dallas ISD providing free meals for students during winter break
DALLAS — For kids in the Dallas area who may have a hard time finding food during winter break, Dallas ISD is looking to help.
Starting Thursday, the district will hold three pop-up services across the city to provide free meals for all DISD students ages 18 and younger. There will be trucks parked at select campuses during different times on the following days:
If the weather is good, meals will be served from the trucks parked at the campus’ main driveway. If it’s raining, employees will hand them out from the front/main entrance of each school.
Meal services will last until supplies run out or until the time ends. They will be canceled if there’s snow, sleet or any dangerous weather conditions.
