Lewisville pawn shop owner killed in his store; 3 suspects wanted

LEWISVILLE, Texas — A pawn shop owner was fatally shot in Lewisville on Tuesday morning, and police are looking for three suspects wanted in the killing.

The shooting happened around 9:30 a.m. at the Lewisville Pawn Shop at 962 S. Mill St., police said.

The three suspects, all reportedly dressed in black hoodies and blue jeans, jumped out of a Ford Escape SUV, rushed into the shop and confronted the owner.

One of the suspects then shot the shop owner in the chest, police said. The suspects left the scene in the SUV and went south on Mill Street toward Interstate 35E.

The owner was taken to Medical City Lewisville hospital, where he died. His name has not been released.

Police said the suspects’ Ford Escape was a late-model and red, but more information was not available. Police the descriptions of the suspects were also vague.

All three are wanted for charges of capital murder since the shooting happened during a robbery.
