NBC 5 Forecast: Chilly and Gray Saturday; Milder for Sunday

Spotty light rain or drizzle will be possible virtually anytime into the weekend, but a washout is not expected. Otherwise, expect a mostly cloudy Saturday and Sunday. Late day sunshine is expected Sunday with a nice boost in temperatures.

Temperatures start out chilly with patchy drizzle for the Cowtown Marathon 10K and 5K and Kids 5K. The precipitation should taper off by midday. Clouds will remain and it’ll be chilly.

There’s a possibility of patchy drizzle early in the morning Sunday, as the USA Track & Field Half Marathon Championships and the Cowtown Marathon, Half Marathon and Ultra Marathon begin.

By Sunday, highs will return to the 70s with a chance of thunderstorms by Sunday night, some could be severe with brief gusty winds.

After the chance of thunderstorms, the start of next week will be dry and mild with highs in the mid to upper-70s, above normal for this time of year.
