Ponder Volunteer Fire Department asking for help in finding missing man

Officials said the man, who has Alzheimer’s, left a care facility on Plover Circle off Knight Lane. He was last seen at about 5 p.m. 

The man is about 6 feet tall, officials added, with gray hair and glasses. He was last seen wearing blue tennis shoes, khaki pants, a blue shirt and a grayish-blue jacket. 

Ponder VFD did not initially release the man’s name. WFAA has asked for them to share it and will update this story once it is released.

Officials said the man doesn’t know the area but is very active and mobile. 

Anyone who sees the man is asked to call 911.
